in the last two years, the situation at the polish-belarusian border has been getting increasingly worse: the implementation of a exclusion zone, massive militarisation along the border, the construction of a border fence, nationalist and racist propaganda, systematic pushbacks and the expansion of surveillance technology are just a few examples of measures taken by the polish government to keep fortress europe in place. the situation for people on the move in poland and belarus is fatal but still thousands of people try to cross the border.

for the last two years, several collectives and individuals have been active on the polish-belarusian border to support the struggle for freedom of movement and to oppose the racist practices of the polish government.

we want to report on the current situation and solidarity structures at the border and discuss together what forms of support are needed.

the event will take place mainly in english, if necessary there can be german translation. if you have smartphones that you no longer use but are still in usable condition, please bring them with you.

in den letzten zwei jahren hat sich die situation an der polnisch-belarussischen grenze immer weiter verschärft: die einrichtung einer sperrzone, massive militarisierung entlang der grenze, der bau eines grenzzauns, nationalistische und rassistische propaganda, systematische pushbacks und der ausbau von überwachungstechnik sind nur einige beispiele für maßnahmen, die die polnische regierung ergreift um die festung europa aufrecht zu erhalten. die situation für people on the move in polen und belarus ist fatal und dennoch versuchen weiterhin tausende menschen, die grenze zu überqueren.

seit etwa zwei jahren sind mehrere kollektive und einzelpersonen an der polnisch-belarussischen grenze aktiv, um den kampf für bewegungsfreiheit zu unterstützen und sich den rassistischen praktiken der polnischen regierung zu widersetzen.

wir wollen von der aktuellen situation und von solidarischen strukturen an der grenze berichten und gemeinsam ins gespräch kommen, welche formen der unterstützung es braucht.

die veranstaltung wird hauptsächlich auf englisch stattfinden, bei bedarf kann es deutsche übersetzung geben. wenn ihr smartphones habt, die ihr nicht mehr nutzt aber die noch in brauchbarem zustand sind, bringt diese gern mit.
