Hello dear people!

In the not-too-queer-friendly society we live in, it is extremely important for us as queer people to have a community, a small retreat where we are respected, accepted, and affirmed in our identity.

Many queer people in Leipzig are already well connected, but not all of them.

To change that a bit, we are organizing a monthly brunch for ANTIQ*e people (agender, nonbinary, trans, intersex, questioning). We want to create a space where ANTIQ*e people can get to know other ANTIQ*e people (connect, vent frustration, hang out, recharge, just be together) without having to go to a party. If this appeals to you, please come along! If you know other interested people, please let them know!

The brunch will take place on April 13th, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the W1.

We will provide coffee, tea, vegan milk, waffles (also gluten-free), pickles and bread and there will be sodas on a donation basis. Feel free to bring your own delicacies for everyone (please enter them here: https://cryptpad.fr/pad/#/2/pad/edit/gA3PzT3B4tXNeGaVkeH7mZCL/), as well as cutlery and crockery (W1 is also happy about donations of crockery ).

There will be a buddy system. This means that several people will be marked as buddies who you can talk to if you want to talk to someone, have questions about the room, etc. Any person present is welcome to take on the role of a buddy and give it up again at any time. Care is always taken to ensure that at least two people can be contacted as buddies. So that you can get together outside of brunch, there will be a poster on which you can write your name and activities that you would like to do together with other people.

We want brunch to be as accessible as possible for all brunchies (people attending brunch): a barrier statement is attached. There will also be awareness people on site and our awareness concept will be posted. (If you have any further questions regarding the accessibility situation locally, please ask us!)

If you want to drink alcohol, please clarify this with all brunchies on site (only an enthusiastic yes is a yes!), not everyone feels comfortable with it. Our interiors are smoke-free.

A full Barrie statement is still in the works but as a preliminary version: The room is accessed either via a small step (13cm) with a door width of 83cm or via three individual steps (14cm, 13cm, 7cm) with a door width of 96cm. Unfortunately there is currently no ramp.

The access to the toilet is 60cm wide and the toilet is not designed as a barrier-free toilet. However, we have access to the accessible toilet across the street!

Hello lovely people!

In the not too queer-friendly society we’re living in, it is extremely important for us as queers to have a little community, a small retreat where we are respected, accepted and empowered in our identity.

Many queer people in Leipzig already have such a community, but not all of them.

To change that a little we are organizing a monthly brunch for ANTIQ* people (agender, nonbinary, trans, intersex, questioning). We want to create a space where ANTIQ* people can get to know other ANTIQ* people (to connect, to vent frustration, to hang out, to recharge, to just be together) without having to go to a party. If this sounds nice to you, feel very welcome to come along! If you know other interested people please let them know as well!

The brunch will take place on 13.04.24 from 11 am – 3pm at the W1 (ask us if you don’t know where that is!).

We will be serving coffee, tea, vegan milk, waffles (also gluten-free), cucumbers and bread, and there will be lemonade on a donation basis.

You are also welcome to bring your own delicacies for everyone (please put what you will bring here: https://cryptpad.fr/pad/#/2/pad/edit/gA3PzT3B4tXNeGaVkeH7mZCL/), as well as cutlery and crockery (the W1 is also happy to receive donations of crockery).

We will always make sure that at least two people are available as buddies. There will be a little activity board on which you can write your name and activities that you would like to do together with other people so that you can get to know each other outside of the brunch.

We want the brunch to be as accessible as possible for all brunchies (people who attend the brunch). Regarding physical accessibility, see below.

There will also be awareness people on site and our awareness concept will be displayed.

If you want to drink alcohol, please make sure everyone in the room consents (only an enthusiastic yes is a yes!), not everyone feels comfortable with it. Our indoor areas are smoke-free.

A proper access statement is still in progress but as a preliminary version: The room is accessible either via a small step (13cm) with a door width of 83cm or via three individual steps (14cm,13cm, 7cm) with a door width of 96cm . A ramp is currently not available.

The entrance to the toilet is 60cm wide and the toilet is not designed as an accessible toilet, but we have organized to an accessible toilet right across the street. (If you have further questions regarding the situation regarding accessibility on site, please ask us).
