+++ Fahrraddemo und Kundgebung am 10.04.2021, Start am Rabet um 14:00 Uhr +++ Kapitalismus in den Shutdown schicken – für eine solidarische Pause! +++
Seit über einem Jahr befinden wir uns in einem globalen Ausnahmezustand aufgrund der COVID19-Pandemie: Fast 80.000 Tote allein in Deutschland und rund 3 Millionen weltweit sind jedoch keine Naturkatastrophe, sondern der vermeidbare Preis eines Wirtschaftssystems, in dem Profite weit über Menschenleben stehen. Wir erleben eine Politik des Sterbenlassens!
Seit über einem Jahr hangeln wir uns durch die verschiedensten Maßnahmen, um die Ausbreitung des Virus einzudämmen, von Einschränkungen im Einzelhandel und in der Gastronomie über die Schließung von Kindertagesstätten und Schulen bis hin zu Ausgangs– und Kontaktbeschränkungen. Nur der Kapitalismus hat keinen Pause-Knopf: Die Produktion muss weitergehen, koste es was es wolle. Während trotz Corona weiter Autos vom Band laufen, Flugzeuge montiert werden und die Schlachthöfe auf Hochtouren arbeiten, wird unser Privat- und Kulturleben hemmungslos eingeschränkt. Das belastet viele Menschen nicht nur finanziell, sondern auch körperlich und geistig. Seit über einem Jahr wird diese Belastung aber konsequent ignoriert!
Die dritte Welle ist bereits in vollem Gange und die staatliche Politik erweist sich einmal mehr als Desaster! Mit den Fallzahlen steigt auch die Belastung der Beschäftigten im Gesundheitssektor enorm. Parallel verlieren Menschen ihre Jobs und damit ihre Existenzgrundlage, steigt die Zahl der psychisch Erkrankten und der von häuslichen Gewaltverbrechen Betroffenen. An den europäischen Außengrenzen sind Geflüchtete gezwungen, in menschenunwürdigen Camps zu leben – ohne die Möglichkeit Abstand zu halten, ohne ausreichende medizinische Versorgung – während die europäischen Staaten untereinander mit harten Bandagen um exklusiven Zugang zu den dringend benötigten Impfstoffen konkurrieren. Warum diese unnötig knapp und teuer sind, wird dabei kaum hinterfragt.
Ein „weiter so“ darf es nicht geben! Auch eine Rückkehr zur kapitalistischen „Normalität“, die auf Ausbeutung, Rassismus und Naturzerstörung beruht, ist kein Fortschritt! Die Krise steckt im System! Sie lässt sich nicht durch autoritäre Maßnahmen und nationale Alleingänge beseitigen, sondern muss gemeinsam und solidarisch unter konsequenter Berücksichtigung und Ausschaltung des Infektionsgeschehens in der Wirtschaft angegangen werden.
Deshalb fordern wir:
- Eine solidarische Pause d.h. Schließung aller nicht zwingend erforderlichen Wirtschaftsbereiche für mindestens 3 Wochen bei vollem Lohnausgleich!
- sofortige Aufnahme und dezentrale Unterbringung aller Schutzsuchenden an den Außengrenzen Europas und innerhalb Europas
- europaweiter Abschiebestopp, vor allem in Corona-Risikogebiete
- kostenfreier Zugang zu medizinischer Versorgung und Impfstoffen für ALLE. Dies betrifft besonders obdachlose Menschen und Personen ohne gesicherten Aufenthaltsstatus.
- Eine global gerechte Verteilung von Impfstoffen d.h. Impfstoff-Patente aufheben und Pharmakonzerne vergesellschaften!
- Kritische aber strukturell benachteiligte Bereiche wie Pflege und Lebensmittelhandel müssen mehr Gehalt, Schutz und Wertschätzung bekommen
Daher rufen Prisma- IL Leipzig, die Naturfreundejugend Leipzig und Medinetz Leipzig am 10.04.2021 zu einer Fahrraddemo und Kundgebung angelehnt an den internationalen ZeroCovid Aktionstag auf.
Kommt mit uns um 14:00 Uhr auf die Straße, bringt eure Fahrräder mit, haltet Abstand, tragt eine Maske und seid laut für eine solidarische Gesundheitspolitik in der Pandemie.
Wir werden nicht weiter zusehen, wie die Regierung ihren Fokus nur auf Wirtschaft und Profit setzt und dabei das körperliche und geistige Wohl von Menschen ignoriert. Profite dürfen nicht über Menschenleben stehen! Und wenn wir selbst den Kapitalismus in den Shutdown schicken …

For more than a year we have been in a global state of emergency due to the COVID19 pandemic: However, almost 80,000 deaths in Germany alone and around 3 million worldwide are not a natural disaster, but the avoidable price of an economic system in which profits appear to outweigh human lives by far. We are experiencing a policy of letting people die!
For over a year, we have been shambling through a wide variety of measures to contain the spread of the virus, from retail and restaurant restrictions to daycare and school closures to curfews and contact restrictions. Only capitalism has had no pause button: production must continue, whatever the cost. While, despite Corona, cars continue to roll off the assembly line, airplanes are assembled and slaughterhouses are working at full speed, our private and cultural lives are being restricted wto the fullest. This puts a strain on many people not only financially, but also physically and mentally. For over a year, however, this burden has been consistently ignored!
The third wave is already in full swing and state policy is once again proving to be a disaster! With the number of cases, the burden on employees in the health sector is also increasing enormously. In parallel, people are losing their jobs and thus their livelihoods, the number of mentally ill people and those affected by violent domestic crimes is rising. At Europe’s external borders, people on the move are forced to live in inhumane camps – without the possibility of keeping their distance, without adequate medical care – while European countries compete fiercely with each other for exclusive access to urgently needed vaccines. Why these are unnecessarily scarce and expensive is hardly questioned.
There must be no „business as usual“! Also a return to the capitalist „normality“, which is based on exploitation, racism and destruction of nature, is no progress! The crisis is in the system! It cannot be eliminated by authoritarian measures and national go-alones, but must be tackled jointly and in solidarity, consistently taking into account and eliminating the infection of the economy.
Therefore we demand:
– A solidary pause i.e. closure of all non-essential economic sectors for at least 3 weeks with full wage compensation!
– immediate evacuation and decentralized accommodation for all those seeking protection at Europe’s external borders and within Europe
– Europe-wide deportation stop, especially to Corona risk areas
– free access to medical care and vaccines for ALL. This especially concerns homeless people and undocumented people
– A globally just distribution of vaccines, i.e. cancel vaccine patents and socialize pharmaceutical companies!
– Critical but structurally disadvantaged areas like care and food trade must get more salary, protection and appreciation.
Therefore Prisma- IL Leipzig, Naturfreundejugend Leipzig and Medinetz Leipzig call for to a bicycle demo and rally, based on the international ZeroCovid Action Day on the 10.04.2021 starting at the Rabet.
Come with us at 14:00 on the street, bring your bikes, keep your distance, wear a mask and be loud for a solidarity health policy in the pandemic.
We will not continue to watch the government put its focus only on economics and profit, ignoring the physical and mental well-being of people. Profits must not take precedence over human lives! And if we ourselves have to send capitalism into shutdown …
