Erfahrungsberichte und Austausch zu Mutual Aid – Self_Social Therapy (MAST):
Ein antiautoritärer Ansatz für einen kollektiven Umgang mit unseren mentalen und emotionalen Problemen // KÜFA
Mutual aid / self_social therapy, kurz: MAST, wurde von antiautoritären Psychotherapeut*innen in NYC mit dem Ziel gegründet, eine selbstorganisierte Therapieform für emanzipatorische, widerständige Communities zu schaffen. Wir haben uns Anfang Februar 2024 mit dem Ziel getroffen, eine MAST Gruppe zu gründen und treffen uns mittlerweile regelmäßig zu Therapieprozessen. An diesem Abend wollen wir von unseren bisherigen Erfahrungen mit MAST berichten, diese (kritisch) reflektieren und uns über andere selbstorganisierte, antiautoritäre Therapieformen und Umgangsweisen mit psychischen Problemen austauschen.

Reflection and exchange on Mutual Aid – Self_Social Therapy (MAST):
An anti-authoritarian approach to collectively dealing with our mental and emotional struggles // KÜFA
Mutual aid / self_social therapy, MAST, was founded by anti-authoritarian psychotherapists in NYC with the aim of creating a self-organized form of therapy for emancipatory, resistant communities.
It is based on the principles of cognitive psychology and the knowledge of cognitive neurology and, as it was created by and for people critical towards domination, focuses on self-determination and emancipation.
Transparent methods and tools are used in an open system that can develop and change with each session. Static or dogmatic solutions are rejected.
We met at the beginning of February 2024 with the aim of founding a MAST group. Initially, we looked at the structure and methods of MAST, formed small groups and now meet regularly for therapy processes.
On this evening, we want to report on our experiences with MAST so far, reflect on them (critically) and exchange ideas about other self-organized, anti-authoritarian forms of therapy and ways of dealing with mental health struggles.
